Hello,
I feel I have to proceed this blog with a warning *Rant ahead - read at you're own risk*.
Now that we have that unpleasantness out of the way, what's got my goat you might ask? Doctors... This week I had a check in with an obstetrician, I wanted my estimated due date loooked at because none of the scans and measurements are matching up with the dating scan and I have this paranoia that bubs will be too big and it will be too late to do anything about it. The doctor dismissed me pretty much and said "the first scan is always the most accurate" yada yada - not great bedside manners if you ask me. I was the last "client" of the day and it felt like he was in a hurry to get home. I got a referral for the growth scan in five week's time - which funnily enough listed that bubs was measuring ahead on it - a) because I'm worried about his size and b) during the the morph scan it come up as bubs has a white splodge on one of his heart chambers. While the doctors ruled it out as being serious, apparently it happens in five per cent of all pregnancies it's still a worry, particularly a google search revealed it can be a soft marker for downs.
On brighter news I did the Glucose Challenge Test (GCT) last week and the results came back clear which was a bit of a relief for me.
Today I received this gorgeous little parcel which made me smile - it was a win which makes it all the more fun.
In my gorgeous little parcel is
-Boon grass
-Boon twig
-Boon feeding mesh
-Buggy hooks
-B.box bottle brush
-Mimijumi nipple
-Bath ball
'Til next time..
S xx
